Action Steps Note
Search the Class Schedule Registration Portal -> Browse Classes -> Current Term -> Enter at Least One Subject -> Search You may also access the registration portal by visiting registration.wfu.edu. Using Advanced Search will allow for entry of additional search criteria.
Check for Holds Registration Portal -> Prepare for Registration -> Review any Holds Staff in the Office of the University Registrar are not authorized to remove a Hold placed by another office. Contact the office responsible for the Hold.
Find Your Registration Times Registration Portal -> Prepare for Registration -> Review Time Ticket(s) Check your student status and holds to ensure they are green. Note that your Time Ticket will be red until it is your time to register.
Add Class(es) from a Plan Registration Portal -> Register for Classes -> Select the Current Term -> Plans -> Add All -> Submit Placing your desired course in a Plan saves you time when registering. Remember to press “Submit.”
Add Class(es) by CRN Registration Portal -> Register for Classes -> Select the Current Term -> CRN tab -> Enter CRN -> Submit You may register for multiple courses at one time by adding all desired CRNs. Remember to press “Submit.”
Drop a Class Registration Portal -> Register for Classes -> Current Term -> In the Summary panel, select Drop via WEB from the Action drop down menu -> Submit Remember to press “Submit.”
Drop and Add Simultaneously Registration Portal -> Browse Classes -> Current Term -> In the Summary panel, select Drop via WEB from the Action drop down menu, but do NOT click Submit yet -> Add the class you want to register for from search, by CRN, or from a plan -> Submit View Registration Information to confirm the schedule changes have been applied to your schedule. Remember to press “Submit.”
Create a Plan for Registration Registration Portal -> Plan Ahead -> Select Term -> Create New Plan -> Enter Subject, Course Number, or Keyword -> Search -> View Section -> Add Course You may create multiple plans. The planning feature enables you to view courses in a calendar view to prevent time overlaps. Placing your desired course in a Plan saves you time when registering.
Add Class(es) by Search Registration Portal -> Register for Classes -> Current Term -> Continue ->Enter your search criteria -> Search -> Click Add for the class you want to add -> Submit Remember to press “Submit.”
Register a Course using Permission of Instructor (POI) Number WIN -> Class Registration and Schedule -> Permission of Instructor Entry Page -> Enter POI Numbers(s) -> Submit -> Registration Portal -> Follow the instructions above under Add Class(es) by CRN View Registration Information to confirm the schedule changes have been applied to your schedule.
Join a Waitlist Follow the instructions above under Add Class(es) by CRN -> In the Summary panel, select Wait Listed from the Action drop down menu -> Submit If the course and section for which you are attempting to register is full, you will receive an “error” message stating that it is closed and indicating the number of students already on the waitlist. (Example: “Closed – X Waitlisted” indicates “X” students are already waitlisted; you will be in the NEXT position). View Registration Information to confirm the schedule changes have been applied to your schedule.
Register for a Waitlisted Class when Receive a Notification About an Open Seat Registration Portal -> Register for Classes -> Select the current term -> Continue -> In the Summary panel, select Web Registered from the Action drop down menu -> Submit Remember to press “Submit.” View Registration Information to confirm the schedule changes have been applied to your schedule.
Check Position on a Waitlist Registration Portal -> Register for Classes -> Current Term -> Continue -> In the Schedule panel, click Schedule Details -> Look for Waitlist Position If and when your position is “1,” you will receive the next notification when a seat opens up.
Drop a Waitlisted Class/Course when Receiving a Notification Registration Portal -> Register for Classes -> Select the current term -> Continue -> In the Summary panel, elect Drop via WEB from the Action drop down menu -> Submit Remember to press “Submit.”
